Synopsis

Ayahuasca Now is a powerful documentary about a group of veterans from the Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan wars. Throughout the film, we explore the roots of their traumas, their personal struggles, and the limited support they receive from society. Desperate and feeling misunderstood, these veterans embark on a journey to the Amazon jungle in search of a last chance at redemption. In this new battleground, their allies are shamans and indigenous ceremonies, while their greatest enemy is themselves.
