GLOWSTAR MEDIA is proud to announce the global release of VALIENDO MADRES, the latest original series from Gato Grande/MGM, based on What’s Up Mamis, the acclaimed novel by Argentine writer Erika Halvorsen.
The first season will premiere on AMAZON PRIME VIDEO in over 240 territories starting April 16, 2025.
The project was brought to GATO GRANDE by GLOWSTAR MEDIA as part of its ongoing mission to identify distinctive, internationally relevant Spanish-language content this time in alliance with CIMARRÓN PRODUCTIONS. The series marks another milestone in the pursuit of bold, contemporary stories from the Hispanic world, produced in Mexico by a prestigious company known worldwide for global hits like Luis Miguel: The Series and Wednesday (Merlina).
What is VALIENDO MADRES about?
The story follows Paloma (played by Marcela Guirado), a mother who starts suspecting her husband of infidelity after finding her son playing with what looks suspiciously like a colorful vibrator. Determined to get to the bottom of it, she embarks on a wild and hilarious investigation, joined by a group of fellow moms who are as lovable as they are chaotic.
With a sharp, irreverent tone, the series explores the challenges of married life, the identity shifts that come with motherhood, and the complexities of adult friendships. While comedy drives the story, VALIENDO MADRES also weaves in elements of mystery and drama, striking a provocative and emotionally rich balance.
